Fit a Shower Stall

By admin | Oct 2, 2008

One of the many trends that are popular over the last
few years has to do with shower stalls. Many people usually
take a shower either before work or before bed, due to the fact
that it is extremely convenient, quick and easy.  If you
are a person that is still using your bath tub for showering
purposes, you might want to consider renovating your bathtub
into a shower stall.  Here are some tips on adding a
shower stall.

Shower stalls are extremely practical and usually very
affordable.  Many shower stalls can be easily added into
an existing bathroom.  Showers take up less space than
conventional bath tubs and adding a shower stall usually takes
less work than a bathtub installation.  Most shower stalls
are made from sturdy plastic, glass, acrylic or metal.
Shower stalls are usually very durable and require little
maintenance.

There are plenty of great accessories that can be
added to any shower stall to make it even more
attractive.  For instance, many people add water jets and
an extendable shower head so that cleaning is easier and more
functional.  Many showers come with massaging heads to
give the person a relaxing and customized shower. Most
massaging heads can create many types of water settings such as
a gentle rain, pulsating blasts or extra wide water
disbursement.

Another great feature is electronically controlled
thermostats.  Wouldn’t it be great to set the water to the
exact temperature you would like and keep it at this
temperature during your entire shower? With an electronically
controlled thermostat, you can achieve a great shower at the
temperature that you enjoy.  You never have to worry about
other people changing your water settings or stepping into a
shower in the morning that is much too cold.  For older
adults or for people that take care of grooming tasks, many
shower stalls also include benches to sit on.  If you like
to shave, clean your feet or just need to sit down during your
shower, a bench is a great accessory and it also adds a safety
mechanism for many elderly adults.

If you have only one shower and you and your spouse
are usually fighting over it, why not install a shower for
two.  Dual shower stalls are becoming more and more
popular as more couples realize the practicality and need for
them to take showers at the same time instead of waiting for
the other person to finish.

Depending on your budget, shower stalls can cost less
than $1,000 installed to several thousand dollars.
Depending on the size, materials and features will usually
determine how much your shower stall costs as well as
professional installation.  You can find plenty of great
shower stalls at your local home improvement center.  Home
improvement centers such as Lowe’s and Home depot carry several
great models.  For a customized or high end shower stall,
you can easily find many showers available at your local
bathroom showroom.  If you are looking for a quick and
practical way to groom yourself in the morning, look into
shower stalls.
