A more important consideration is choosing the correct shower valve and system to work with your shower head. The flow rate for each item that you want to include in your shower is an important factor. So add up the gpm (gallons per minute) for each shower outlet. Then make sure your shower valve can handle the increased flow rate.
As a rule of thumb you would consider that 2 branched of your custom shower would be on at the same time. So if your showerhead is 2.5 gallons per minute and you have 3 body sprays at 2.5 gpm each, you would need a flow rate from your valve of at least 10 gpm.
Also, you will need a straight shower arm that is made for installing a ceiling mounted showerhead. Make sure you have a very good plumber with experience in custom shower installations.
